The Ultimo - Sydney

The Ultimo features modern accommodation in the vibrant Chinatown district. Constructed in 1911 as a key component in Haymarket’s transition to become Sydney’s fresh fruit market, the heritage-listed building is a reminder of Sydney’s bustling and vibrant commercial heritage which continues to this day.

The Ultimo is just a 3-minute walk from bus and light rail stops. It is only a 5-minute walk from the Central Train Station, providing easy access toof Sydney’s attractions

After an extensive refurbishment in 2016, the hotel features 95 rooms across seven categories from cozy Ultimo single rooms to spacious Ultimo Courtyard rooms. (The Courtyard room type also welcomes your furry friends!). We provide complimentary WiFi, and a barista coffee station in the lobby to round up your stay at The Ultimo Hotel in Sydney’s vibrant Chinatown neighborhood.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

Please note there is a 1.5% surcharge when you pay with Visa or Mastercard (including debit cards), Apple Pay, American Express, Pay and Diners credit card. Payments made with cash, savings or chequing accounts are fee-free.

Please note that The Ultimo requires an AUD 50 credit card pre-authorisation, or AUD 200 cash or Eftpos deposit upon check in to cover any incidental charges. A credit card pre-authorisation is a freeze placed on your account by your financial institution and isa debit to the account.

Upon check-out, any outstanding balance owed will be confirmed and debited to the card provided. If the balance is zero the full amount will release back to your account within the next 5–7 working days from your financial institution.

Please note that pets can only be accommodated in the Ultimo Courtyard Rooms.

Covid-19 vaccination record requirement applies toguests aged 16 years and older. No entry to the hotel unless you can provide proof of full vaccination or a medical exemption

It has plenty of original historic detailing, including exposed bring, large ornate windows and views of the surrounding Chinatown neighborhood. Ultimo Trio Room. This room has 1 queen-sized bed and 1 single-sized bed. Ultimo Single Room with One Single Bed (1 Guest). This intimate room has a king single bed. Ultimo Studio. These spacious studio style rooms feature a king bed plus an additional sofa bed. These rooms have plenty of original historic detailing with exposed brick, large ornate windows, and views of the surrounding Chinatown neighborhood. You can enjoy fresh air from windows that open, and the room is also equipped with air-conditioning and a flat-screen TV with mobile device pairing to watch or listen to your own content.
